Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery to provide professional accountability for nursing and midwifery across CQ Health and to serve as an equal and collaborative member of the Health Service Executive.

Reporting directly to the Health Service Chief Executive, you will lead the strategic direction, governance and performance of nursing and midwifery across the organisation, driving workforce planning, governance and system

Qualifications

• You are an accomplished nursing and/or midwifery executive with the credibility, strategic capability and professional expertise to influence at Board, Executive and system level.
• You bring contemporary professional knowledge and demonstrated success leading complex health services, translating strategy into measurable outcomes across workforce, quality, safety, access, performance and financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning and capability, oversee professional and clinical governance frameworks, sponsor service redesign and system improvement.
• Ensure data and evidence inform executive decision‑making.
• Provide the highest level of professional advice to the CE and Board and lead the strategic direction, governance and performance of nursing and midwifery across the organisation.
