Job summary

NSW Health's Goulburn Base Hospital is seeking a Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery to provide strategic and operational leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care in the Southern NSW region.

You will work with the Director to drive clinical excellence, workforce development and continuous improvement, shaping nursing services while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualification in Management or equivalent work experience in management.
• Demonstrated high level capacity to manage clinical services and use negotiation and consultant skills.
• Experience in service development and planning with quality improvement programs.
• Ability to contribute to operational plans and manage nursing resource allocations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient flow and patient care services across the facility and support the Cluster Director of Nursing and Midwifery by providing leadership and direction to enable safe, effective quality patient care and improved patient experiences.
