Job summary

TrEd College is seeking a Placement Coordinator to oversee clinical placements for students enrolled in the Diploma of Nursing. You will liaise with the Head of Nursing and Course Coordinator to coordinate placements across semesters, ensuring timely arrangements with facilities and compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will visit health service providers, maintain records, communicate with nurse educators, and support learners with suitable training while on clinical placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate qualification in nursing.
• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
• Organised and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of educational technologies and LMS is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate placements with the Head of Nursing and Course Coordinator each semester.
• Identify facility requirements and communicate them to trainers and student groups.
• Visit health service providers to evaluate placement quality.
• Maintain records of facility requirements and update as needed.
• Communicate with nurse educators and placement managers to develop placements.
• Attend meetings and CPD; update resumes and staff matrix as required.
• Report non-compliance with legislation or TrEd College policies promptly.
• Facilitate agreement signing for learners at TrEd College for placements.
• Maintain industry currency as required by regulatory body.
