About the role

Casino District Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Unit Manager - Operating Theatre to be responsible for the efficient management of nursing and other relevant staff under their delegation and coordination of the provision of nursing care. The Nursing Unit Manager leads nursing staff, ensures effective liaison between all health professionals and is responsible for the environmental and work, health and safety management of the unit. Clinical engagement and leadership have been a prominent feature of the public health system for a number of years, where clinician led clinical standards, safety and quality improvements have become a major focus. The Local Health District (LHD) is committed to the strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement and evaluation of health services. Also known as the Rainbow Region, this area is blessed with stunning forests and waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities. For a different type of scene, you can drive to the Gold Coast in less than 2 hours, or Brisbane in under 3 hours.
