Job summary

Baptcare is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to join the Northaven Community in Kerang, Victoria on a casual basis. You will contribute to the Senior Management Team, ensuring high quality care in line with Aged Care Standards and Baptcare policies.

Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA RN Division 1 registration, have at least 2 years in aged care management, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and ongoing improvement capabilities to support residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as an RN Division 1 (essential).
• Recent position in clinical aged care management (minimum 2 years).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to supervise staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a Residential Services Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care aligns with best practice guidelines and respects residents’ dignity.
• Lead and mentor staff per Baptcare policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff have equipment, training, and compliant documentation.
• Liaise with residents, families, and external stakeholders with compassion.
• Participate in site meetings and mandatory staff training.
