Job summary

Western NSW Local Health District seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the Orange Hospital Emergency Department. This permanent role offers up to 38 hours weekly, with both full-time and part-time options, and remuneration per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging.

ED NPs provide autonomous, high-level care in acute, fast-track settings, supported by a FACEM and nursing team, within a busy ED and ICU. The successful candidate will work within scope and collaborate with experienced colleagues

About the role

An exciting opportunity Orange Hospital Nurse Practitioner Emergency Department.

Emergency Department Nurse Practitioners (ED NPs) are advanced practice nurses who provide autonomous, high-level care for patients, particularly in acute, non-resuscitation, or fast-track settings.

Working within the Emergency Department of Orange Hospital – a trauma centre, interventional cardiology facility and level 5 ED and ICU for the central west enables the Nurse Practitioner to work supported within the busy Emergency Department caring for our community.

The NP is support by a large FACEM and Nursing team to work collaboratively with these team members and autonomously within their scope.
