Job description

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.

Your new role :

As an Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander Nurse Navigator (Paediatric & Adolescent), you will deliver advanced, culturally safe nursing care and coordinate complex patient journeys across the continuum of care. Guided by Nurse Navigator principles, you will work in partnership with children, young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes, streamline care pathways, and strengthen system efficiency.

About you :

You are an experienced Registered Nurse who identifies as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of First Nations children and young people.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with advanced skills in paediatric and adolescent health.
  • Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, culture, and the social determinants influencing child and adolescent wellbeing.
  • A commitment to education, mentorship, and continuous improvement, fostering culturally safe and evidence-based practice within your team and service.
