The role supports members, develops workplace leaders, and fosters collaboration while maintaining a flexible travel schedule for regular site visits.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualifications in nursing or midwifery.
• Two years financial NSWNMA membership (current).
• Commitment to acquiring organising skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to nursing and midwifery professions.
• Ability to listen and use active listening techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build union power through workplace organising.
• Recruit and engage members via conversations and initiatives.
• Identify and develop workplace activists.
• Develop and implement formal organising plans to form new branches and strengthen existing ones.
• Contribute to NSWNMA’s goals to achieve collective outcomes for nurses and midwives.
