Spectrum Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our organisation as a Nurse Manager. With a growing network of over 40 practices across the North and South, Spectrum Health offers stability, ongoing support, and a collaborative environment where your leadership will make a real impact.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, perfect for an experienced nurse leader looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic, multi-site healthcare organisation.
As the Nurse Manager, you will lead and support the nursing team while working alongside a broader management and clinical leadership group across the Spectrum Health network. You will provide both clinical leadership and operational oversight, ensuring high standards of care, team performance, and excellent patient outcomes.
Leadership & Staff Management
Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team.
Recruit, onboard, and retain nursing staff.
Conduct performance reviews and foster a positive team culture.
Clinical & Operational Oversight
Ensure safe, evidence-based clinical practice.
Act as a clinical resource for complex patient care.
Manage staffing levels, patient flow, and team leave.
Quality, Policy & Compliance
Develop and review nursing policies and procedures.
Lead quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with AHPRA and accreditation standards.
Support risk management, incident reporting, and patient safety systems.
Resource & Inventory Management
Oversee clinical consumables and stock management.
Allocate and monitor financial and material resources.
Work collaboratively with GPs, allied health professionals, administration teams, and management.
Support organisational planning and address patient concerns professionally.
Professional Development & Reporting
Support ongoing education and training for nursing staff.
Report on key performance indicators and implement improvements.
Maintain accurate clinical and operational documentation.
Strong leadership and team management capability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High-level organisational and time-management skills.
Sound clinical judgement and decision-making.
Experience with budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
Understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation.
Proficiency with Best Practice, Health Engine, and Microsoft Office.
Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent).
Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing Management or Leadership (desirable).
Several years of clinical nursing experience.
Prior supervisory or management experience.
Experience with performance management, quality initiatives, or policy development.
Stable Monday–Friday roster
Competitive hourly rate: $45.00 per hour
