Job summary
Australian Nuclear Science & Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence Associate/Lead at the Lucas Heights campus in NSW. Join a newly established team dedicated to strengthening manufacturing systems, reducing risk, and driving safety, quality, reliability and performance in nuclear medicine manufacturing.
You will work across manufacturing, safety, engineering and quality, leading investigations, improving critical controls and shaping future-state operating
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Excellence & Operational Improvement: Lead initiatives that improve manufacturing systems, processes and operational performance
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and strengthen ways of working
- Support the development of future-state manufacturing systems and operational frameworks
- Risk, Assurance & Critical Controls: Facilitate risk assessments and operational reviews
- Monitor and improve the effectiveness of critical controls
- Drive proactive identification and management of safety, quality and operational risks
- Investigations & Learning: Lead complex investigations into operational, safety and quality events
- Monitor trends and recurring issues across the business
- Support the implementation and effectiveness review of corrective actions
- Technical Leadership & Influence: Coach teams in problem solving, risk management and continuous improvement
- Lead cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives
- Influence decision making without direct authority
