Job summary

ProFound People seeks a New Product Introduction Manager in Adelaide to bridge in-house design and production, ensuring buildability, cost efficiency, and compliance for new products.

You will influence design for manufacture, own launches, lead a small team of engineers, and drive production readiness with quality documentation and capital planning. Relocation may be required for interstate candidates.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical/electrical/electronic/mechatronic or manufacturing.
• Proven track record bringing new products into volume production (NPI/manufacturing).
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (medical devices, aerospace, defence, rail, pharma).
• Hands-on experience qualifying and validating manufacturing processes.
• Skilled in FMEA and process risk management within a quality system.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Get involved early in the design process to influence assembly and cost.
• Own product introduction projects end to end (planning, spend, progress).
• Prepare and present capital investment proposals.
• Define build and inspection methods and ensure equipment, documentation and staff are in place.
• Run initial production builds and complete process qualification with documented evidence.
• Stay close to products as volumes increase, address yield and efficiency issues.
• Collaborate with purchasing to bring in new suppliers and components.
• Lead process risk analysis and maintain compliance through audits.
• Keep design, operations, quality, purchasing aligned to stay on track.
• Lead and develop engineers while staying hands-on with technical problems.
