Job summary

ConnectSydney in Rockdale, NSW, seeks a Structures Inspector for a 12-month fixed-term role with a night shift (8pm–4am). Hybrid work from Rockdale office and home, with a company vehicle provided for site visits.

You will inspect and report on structure condition, input data, and support asset management activities across Harbour Zone projects. The role requires a Civil Construction qualification or equivalent, ability to read drawings, and experience with asset data and TfNSW processes.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Civil Construction or relevant field experience.
• Ability to interpret and quantify asset data from drawings/plans.
• Experience inspecting and assessing civil assets.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, assess and report on status/condition of ConnectSydney structures.
• Promote a quality culture with standards of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Assist Supervisors in planning works and maintenance per standards and risk processes.
• Comply with contract requirements for scheduled inspections.
• Contribute to development/improvement of inspection and maintenance plans.
• Carry out structural inspections of supports (gantries, cantilevers, streetlights).
• Assist in business development activities as required.
• Ensure management systems are updated accurately and timely.
• Raise work orders in ConnectSydney asset management system.
• Travel within region and work outside normal hours including weekends.
