KnG Healthcare’s Extended Care is specifically tailored to accommodate older patients who require healthcare services for an extended period of time. These patients continue to require health care in a clinically supported environment to assist with their complex discharge needs following an acute inpatient stay. Our model creates a restorative and healing environment for patients, prioritising their well‑being and continuing their healthcare while simultaneously progressing discharge plans.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Enrolled Nurse, your role will include:

  • Provide best practice nursing care, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Support the delivery of safe, person/family‑centred patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatment and care provision.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated multidisciplinary care.
  • Participate in clinical supervision for Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and students.
  • Complete mandatory training and performance reviews.
  • Undertake clinical shifts, including participation in the on‑call/after‑hours/weekend roster.
  • You will be required to follow The Nursing & Midwifery Board’s Standards for Practice and Scope of Practice and Capabilities of nurses.
Requirements:
  • Competent professional nursing practice in a clinical setting, demonstrating proficiency in patient management.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and decision‑making skills, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate positive interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in computer software and database entry to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Effective time management and organisational abilities to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Essential Documentation/Declarations:
To be considered for this position, you must provide:
  • Enrolled Nurse qualifications and AHPRA registration.
  • Police Check with no disclosable offences, ensuring suitability for employment.
  • Australian Workers Rights documentation, affirming eligibility for employment in Australia.
  • Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Certification, prioritising patient and staff safety.
