Adelaide University invites applications for an NHMRC grant funded Research Associate in the Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics (ACE) based in the AHMS Building. The role focuses on stem cell and organoid biology, with emphasis on gene regulation and developmental processes.
The successful candidate will lead independent research projects, contribute to collaborative studies, and advance translational insights within a multidisciplinary team using state-of-the-art facilities.
At Adelaide University, we create the opportunities you need to achieve your ambitions - because when you thrive, we thrive.
We are transforming education for contemporary learners and global citizens. Building on a proud legacy and shaped by bold ambition, it's a place of excellence and equity, where our vibrant community of staff are united by our purpose to inspire Australia's future change-makers and create a better tomorrow.
We invite applications from highly motivated early-career researchers to join our multidisciplinary research team as an NHMRC grant funded Research Associate. This position is ideal for a researcher seeking to further develop their expertise in stem cell biology, developmental biology, epigenetics, and gene regulation within a collaborative and intellectually stimulating research environment.
The Research Associate will undertake independent and collaborative research projects focused on stem cell and organoid biology, contributing to studies investigating mechanisms of gene regulation, cellular differentiation, development, and disease progression.
Our research program seeks to understand how epigenetic and transcriptional regulatory networks control cellular identity, differentiation, and tissue development in health and disease. We utilise cutting-edge molecular and cellular biology approaches combined with advanced 2D and 3D stem cell culture systems, organoid models, functional genomics, and in vivo models to investigate fundamental biological processes relevant to development, cancer, and human disease.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of researchers working across stem cell biology, developmental biology, epigenetics, cancer biology, and translational research, with access to state-of-the-art research infrastructure and opportunities to engage with national and international collaborators.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to internationally competitive research at the interface of stem cell biology, development, epigenetics, and disease modelling. The successful candidate will have access to advanced cell culture, imaging, genomics, and bioinformatics infrastructure, while working within a collaborative environment that supports scientific excellence, professional development, and career progression.
You will be part of a research team committed to understanding fundamental mechanisms of cellular identity and development, translating these discoveries into new insights into human health and disease, and fostering the next generation of research leaders.
