Small Animal Specialist Hospital – Robina QLD is seeking a Neurology and Neurosurgery Nurse to join our rapidly growing team. You will support cases from admission to recovery, work with state-of-the-art monitoring, CT and MRI, and collaborate closely with a dedicated anaesthetist.

The role offers a full-time, permanent position across a four-day week, with on-call availability. Training and development are a core focus, including SASH academy resources and access to advanced surgical support.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree required.
• Experience with case prep, instrument sterilisation, anaesthesia and confidence scrubbing into complex surgeries preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in neurology and neurosurgery and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with neurology cases from admission through recovery.
• Support the team with case preparation and instrument handling for surgeries.
• Scrub into complex surgeries with supervision from the anaesthetist.
• Contribute to continuous learning and training within the department.

Small Animal Specialist Hospital – Robina QLD

SASH Gold Coast is the first integrated specialist and 24/7 emergency hospital of its type on the Gold Coast - a brand-new, purpose-built facility conveniently located in Robina. We provide multidisciplinary veterinary hospital services including specialist lead Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Surgery, Anaesthesia and Neurology & Neurosurgery services to pets and residents of the Gold Coast, NSW North Coast, and surrounds.

The team is seeking a dedicated Neurology and Neurosurgery Nurse to join our new facility, working closely with Dr Salih Eminaga. We will also soon have another Neurologist joining our growing team.

We’re offering a full-time, permanent position across a 4 day week.

About our Neurology & Neurosurgery Nurses

Neurology & Neurosurgery department is rapidly growing. Our nurses assist with a variety of neurology cases, from admission through to recovery.

We are looking for a passionate, like-minded nurse who is excited by being challenged and who wants to learn from some of the best in the industry.

SASH places a huge emphasis on the continuous training and development of our people and our nursing team is no exception, we will ensure you have:

• A supportive buddy system to see you through your onboarding and initial stages within the department.
• Varied and interesting case load and opportunity to work with and learn from industry leading specialists from multiple disciplines
• Working with a full-time anaesthetist
• Access to cutting edge monitoring and diagnostic equipment including CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, arthroscopy and laparoscopy

Who are we looking for:

• Ability to work the hours between 7am & 7pm across a four day working week with occasional on call availability
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree
• Experience with case prep, instrument sterilisation, anaesthesia and confidence scrubbing into complex surgeries.
• Desire to work with a fun dynamic team and a willingness to learn and provide gold standard patient care.
• Experience in monitoring complex anaesthesia cases.

Previous experience in Neurology is not essential, however experience referral nursing will be highly regarded.
