Job summary

Canon Business Services is hiring a Network Engineer to deliver enterprise network projects across Australia. You will work on design, deployment and optimisation of routing, switching, wireless and security solutions, collaborating with senior engineers, PMs, customers and vendors.

This project-focused role allows hybrid work flexibility and can be located in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, reporting to the Head of Technology Solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years delivering network implementation projects within MSPs.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless and security.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba/Palo Alto platforms.
• Able to design, deploy and troubleshoot network solutions.

About the Role

Join Canon Business Services' Modern Infrastructure team and help deliver networking solutions for some of Australia's leading organisations. This is a project-focused role where you'll work across network implementations, upgrades and customer environments, supporting both standalone projects and larger programs of work. This Network Engineer role can be located in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and reports directly to the Head of Technology Solutions.

You'll collaborate with experienced senior engineers, project managers, customers and vendors to design, deploy and optimise network environments. • Assist with the design, implementation and testing of networking solutions

• Produce high-quality technical documentation and project deliverables
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors and internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
• Provide technical guidance and support during project transitions to operational teams

About you

You're a customer-focused network engineer who enjoys working directly with clients and building strong professional relationships. You can confidently explain technical concepts in plain language and know how to balance both strong technical expertise with a great customer experience.

You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities across different projects. Most importantly, you'll enjoy working as part of a supportive team, learning from experienced specialists and contributing to a positive and collaborative culture.

Key skills and experience include:

• 2+ years experience delivering network implementation projects within a Managed Services Provider
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking and network security
• Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto or similar enterprise platforms
• Ability to support the design, deployment and troubleshooting of network solutions
• Experience working across multiple customer projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong documentation, stakeholder management and customer engagement capability
• Relevant vendor certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, Aruba or equivalent
