Job summary

Mercy Health’s Werribee Mercy Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Neonatal and Postnatal Support Nurse program. This role supports perinatal care on the maternity ward and works alongside midwives to provide essential clinical care to neonates requiring extra support.

The successful candidate will have neonatal/postnatal experience, a current nursing registration, and a commitment to ongoing learning in maternal and neonatal health.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in maternity, maternal and child health, women’s health, neonatal, paediatrics or postoperative environments and/or postgraduate qualifications (essential)
• Interest in pursuing postgraduate education in midwifery, neonatal nursing, women’s health or a related field (desirable)
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management
• Ability to nurture collaborative relationships and contribute to a team environment
• Membership of a nursing professional body (desirable)
