Job summary

BlueCare in Queensland is seeking an Administration / Scheduling Officer to provide rostering support, handle inquiries, and coordinate teams across neighbourhoods. The role emphasizes strong communication, diary management, and efficient use of MS Office tools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing appointments, maintaining records in BlueCare systems, and supporting senior staff on special projects while contributing to high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in rostering and scheduling is highly regarded.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate different teams within each neighbourhood.
  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external customers via phone, email and in person.
  • Manage requests, concerns and inquiries.
  • Rostering and scheduling support for the neighbourhood.
  • Create correspondence and documentation as requested.
  • Organise appointments, diaries, travel and meeting/workshop prep arrangements.
  • Monitor, order and distribute office supplies and arrange maintenance/repair of office equipment.
  • Ensure accuracy of information in financial, HR and other BlueCare systems and databases.
  • Use MS Office and database applications (Intermediate - Advanced).
  • Assist senior staff with special projects as required.

Administration / Scheduling Officer | BlueCare | Community Care
  • Employment Status: Permanent Full Time
  • Location: Hervey Bay, Queensland
  • Remuneration: $33.22 p/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Employee discounts

Key responsibilities include but are limited to
  • Supporting and coordinating different teams within each neighbourhood
  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external customers - via phone, email and in person

  • Creation of correspondence and documentation as requested
  • Efficiently organise appointments, diaries, travel and meeting/workshop preparatory arrangements.
  • Monitor, order and distribute office supplies and arrange for the maintenance/repair of office equipment
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information in financial, human resource and other Blue Care systems and databases
  • Use mainstream software including the Microsoft Office Suite and database applications (Intermediate - Advanced skills required)
  • Assist senior staff with special projects as required

Role requirements
  • You will have effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in rostering/scheduling - Highly regarded
  • Great time-management skills and an ability to prioritise your workload
  • Good knowledge and experience with MS Office and Database applications
  • Confidence with smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads with a can-do attitude
