Job summary

Sedgman is seeking a hands-on NDT Inspector based in Paget, Mackay region, to travel to client sites across Mackay and the Bowen Basin for inspections, testing, and reporting to keep plant equipment operating safely and reliably.

You will work independently with some site travel, carrying out UT, MT, PT, RT and visual inspections, preparing clear reports and communicating findings to clients. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have AICIP and NDT certifications.
• API 653 certification highly regarded.
• Experience working independently and reliably.
• Strong knowledge of inspection codes, standards and pressure equipment inspection requirements.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out NDT inspections across equipment and assets.
• Inspect boilers, pressure vessels, piping, tanks and related equipment.

Based in Paget, this hands-on role offers plenty of variety. You'll work across a range of client sites throughout Mackay and the Bowen Basin, carrying out inspections, testing and reporting to help keep plant and equipment operating safely and reliably.

You'll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own workload, build strong relationships with clients and help shape a growing area of the business.

No two days are the same. You'll have the flexibility to travel to client sites as required, with a company vehicle provided.

Primary Duties

• Plan and carry out NDT inspections across a range of equipment and assets.
• Inspect boilers, pressure vessels, piping, tanks and associated equipment.
• Use a range of NDT methods including UT, MT, PT, RT and visual inspection.
• Identify defects and help clients maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings with clients.
