Our client in Sydney is seeking a biodiversity assessor to conduct desktop and field-based terrestrial assessments from Neutral Bay. The role supports environmental design advice and biodiversity offset strategies, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

The position emphasizes technical reporting to high editorial standards and ongoing development within a dynamic, global engineering advisory context.

Qualifications

• BAM accredited assessor.
• Experience in NSW undertaking biodiversity assessments.
• Expertise in identifying NSW vegetation communities.
• Willingness to grow, lead and develop people.
• Understanding of commercial risk management in the consulting industry.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking desktop and field based terrestrial biodiversity assessments.
• Providing advice for environmental designs such as fauna connectivity structures.
• Preparing biodiversity offset strategies and undertaking biodiversity monitoring.
• Developing the skills of less senior staff.

The position will be based in Neutral Bay and ideally it would be a full-time position, however a part time role would also be considered to provide flexibility for the right applicant.
