Job summary

Primo Foods is seeking a National Material Planning Manager based in Chullora or Wacol to lead the end-to-end material planning function across the business, ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials, ingredients, packaging and indirect materials to support production and customer service outcomes.

You will translate demand and production plans into effective material supply strategies, optimise inventory performance, manage supply risk, and collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to

Qualifications

• Experience in material planning, inventory management or supply chain planning.
• Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience using ERP and planning systems, ideally SAP.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the national material planning team.
• Establish standardised material planning processes, governance routines and performance measures.
• Develop and maintain national material supply plans aligned to demand, production and network requirements.
• Ensure the timely availability of raw materials, ingredients, packaging and consumables to support production plans.
• Identify material constraints and coordinate mitigation plans with Procurement, Operations and Production Planning teams.
• Optimise inventory levels while balancing service, cost, shelf-life and working capital requirements.
• Drive initiatives to reduce obsolete, slow-moving and excess inventory through improved planning accuracy and governance.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers to improve supply reliability and planning alignment.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, risk assessments and capacity planning discussions.
• Own material planning inputs into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and planning activities.
