AUSTRAC is seeking a Deputy CEO, Intelligence to lead the enterprise intelligence function and shape Australia’s national financial intelligence capability. The role focuses on intelligence-led regulation, strategic direction and performance across the agency to protect the community from serious crime and terrorism financing.

Qualifications

• Executive-level leadership in intelligence governance and ethical use in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of the financial intelligence lifecycle and how intelligence informs regulatory and strategic decisions.
• Proven ability to exercise enterprise stewardship across organisational and partner boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead AUSTRAC’s Intelligence Division, directing effort to high risk and harm priorities.
• Oversee enterprise-wide stewardship of financial intelligence and ensure coherence across the organisation.
• Deliver priority intelligence programs informing operational, regulatory and policy decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement, national security, international and private sector partners.
• Drive a high-performing, inclusive and resilient workforce delivering complex outcomes.
• Support the CEO in the role of Head of a National Security Agency.
