Job summary

The Australian Health Promotion Association is seeking a National Project Manager to lead the implementation of AHPA’s strategic priorities through high-level project management, stakeholder engagement, advocacy coordination, and partnership development.

Working with the AHPA Board, Branches, members, government stakeholders and sector partners, this role drives national initiatives to raise visibility, influence, sustainability, and impact of health promotion across Australia.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in health promotion, public health, project management, management, communications, policy, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in health promotion, public health, project coordination, operations, or related sectors.
• Experience in member-based organisations, not-for-profits, universities, government, or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic project planning, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of national initiatives.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, risk management, reporting, and evaluation processes.
• Coordinate multiple projects ensuring delivery within timelines and objectives.
• Oversee governance, administrative activities, and organisational calendars.
• Build and maintain stakeholder engagement and partnerships across sectors.
• Support advocacy, communications, and policy coordination activities.
