Job summary

Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is seeking a National Manager Finance to lead the Finance Branch in Canberra, reporting to the Executive Manager FIAG and CFO. The role focuses on budgeting, funding strategy, cost control and delivering high-quality financial information across CASA.

The ideal candidate will drive strategic financial planning, manage priorities across the organisation, and maintain compliant financial operations in line with government policy and legislation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting and membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
• The position requires pre-employment screening and police record check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Finance Branch, setting objectives and priorities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive organisational strategy for CASA.
• Develop the Authority’s budget and funding sources, including cost recovery arrangements.
• Analyse business proposals to ensure optimal use of resources.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders to align financial strategies with government policy.
