Independent directors on NECL will join a founding board with one NNAC representative and up to 5 independent directors. The board will govern the company in line with a Strategic Plan and Budget approved by NNAC, and is accountable to NNAC as sole member.
This is a hands‑on founding role. With support from NNAC, the founding directors will lead the incorporation of the entity, the development of its first investment strategy and the recruitment of a General Manager, and set the company up to invest well over the long term. This is a remunerated appointment.

Narungga Nation Aboriginal Corporation (NNAC) is the peak body and Registered Native Title Body Corporate for the Narungga people of Guuranda (Yorke Peninsula), protecting Country, strengthening culture and empowering community to build a strong, self‑sustaining future for the Narungga Nation. Narungga Economic Company Ltd is being established by NNAC as the economic development engine of the Narungga Nation. Its purpose is to drive commercial activity, partnerships and investments that generate lasting economic benefit for Narungga people, including the activation of Narungga‑owned property assets. It will be a not‑for‑profit company limited by guarantee, with NNAC as its sole member.
