Job summary

Best Nail Bar on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Nail Technician to join our team. You will perform manicures, pedicures and nail art to client specifications.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on experience, a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, strong hygiene knowledge and excellent English communication.

You will help supervise juniors and ensure high standards of cleanliness and service across all treatments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Nail Technician.
• Diploma in Beauty Therapy required.
• Strong practical skills in manicure, pedicure, artificial nails and nail art.
• Good English communication and customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and infection-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Performing manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle care, buffing and polishing.
• Applying, maintaining, repairing and removing artificial nails, including acrylic, gel, BIAB and dipping powder systems.
• Creating decorative nail art and customised nail designs according to clients’ preferences.
• Providing specialised hand and foot treatments, including light hand, arm and foot massage where appropriate.
• Consulting with clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable nail treatments, shapes, colours, lengths and designs.
• Assessing the condition of clients’ nails and identifying any issues before commencing treatments.
• Advising clients on nail care, maintenance, aftercare and suitable products.
• Providing information about services and recommending additional treatments.
• Cleaning, disinfecting and sanitising tools, equipment and work areas to hygiene standards.
• Assisting with training and supervision of junior Nail Technicians to ensure consistent service quality and hygiene standards.
