Job summary

Quilpie Shire Council is seeking a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator to support road construction and maintenance across our Western Queensland region.

Reporting to the Structures and Concrete Supervisor, you will operate and maintain plant, perform repairs, and ensure safety and efficiency on job sites. We foster teamwork, safety and community spirit, with benefits and a welcoming rural lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Competencies for a Skid Steer/Backhoe/Loader/Excavator.
• Current Queensland HR Drivers Licence.
• Current General Construction Induction Card.
• Ability to operate plant safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, construction, and repairs of Council's infrastructure.
• Safely operate plant consistent with manufacture’s specifications.
• Undertake maintenance works per daily plant check sheets (Loader/Backhoe/Excavator).
• Install and maintain roadworks signage; assist with other duties as required.
