Job summary

Juniper Aged Care is seeking a Multiskilled Domestic Assistant at Juniper John Bryant in Marangaroo, WA. This hands-on role rotates between cleaning, laundry and catering to create a safe, comfortable home for residents.

You will work with care and hospitality teams, following hygiene standards and infection control, and contribute to residents' comfort, dignity and wellbeing. 32.27 per hour with 12% superannuation and salary packaging available.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, catering & laundry services (aged care or healthcare preferred).
• Knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety and infection control is desirable.
• Willingness to obtain a Food Handling Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning: keep residents' rooms and common areas spotless.
• Laundry: wash, dry, iron and return laundry following infection control procedures.
• Catering: assist in meal prep and service, meeting dietary needs.
• Teamwork: collaborate with care and hospitality staff to maintain a homely environment.
• Safety: follow WHS and infection control guidelines at all times.

About The Role

Juniper is seeking a caring and reliable Multiskilled Domestic assistant to join our dedicated team at Juniper John Bryant, our warm and welcoming residential aged care home in Marangaroo.

This hands on, people focused role rotates between cleaning, laundry, and catering duties to help create a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for our residents. Working closely with our care and hospitality teams, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, assist with meal preparation and service, and contribute to residents' overall comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

The successful candidate must have availability through the week to cover planned and unplanned leave on an ad hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning: Keep residents' rooms and common areas spotless, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising high-touch surfaces.
• Laundry: Wash, dry, iron, and return personal and facility laundry while following infection control procedures.
• Catering: Assist in preparing and serving meals, setting tables, and ensuring meals meet residents' dietary needs.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with care and hospitality staff to ensure residents feel respected, valued, and at home.
• Safety: Follow workplace health, safety, and infection control guidelines at all times.

Key Requirements

• Experience in cleaning, catering, & laundry services (aged care or healthcare preferred)
• Knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety, and infection control (desirable)
• Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Passionate about helping older people live with dignity and comfort
• Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
• Flexible to work across cleaning, laundry, and catering duties
• A great communicator who can build rapport with residents and colleagues
