About the role:

We are seeking a Multiskilled Carer to join our Residential Care teams at our Ella Williams facility in Noranda on a permanent part time basis.

As a Multiskilled Carer, you will support residents with their daily living, social, and emotional needs, delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect, and independence. You will play an important role in enhancing residents’ well-being and quality of life, ensuring they feel welcome, valued, and supported.

The successful candidate will be required to work the following shifts with a total of 48 hours per fortnight:

Week 1 Thursday 1500-2100hrs /Sunday 1500-2100hrs /Tuesday 1500-2100hrs

Week 2 Wednesday 1500-2100hrs /Thursday 1500-2100hrs /Friday 1500-2100hrs /Sunday 1500-2100hrs /Tuesday 1500-2100hrs

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care including assistance with hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility
  • Support residents’ independence and participation in meaningful daily activities, promoting dignity and choice
  • Assist with the safe administration of medication in accordance with Juniper policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nursing, allied health, and management personnel
  • Contribute to infection prevention and workplace health and safety practices
  • Assist with mealtime support to ensure nutritional needs are met
  • Foster a kind, respectful, and supportive environment that upholds Juniper’s values and the rights of residents
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work across different sites and shifts, supporting continuity of care
Key Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care
  • Experience working in an aged care setting as a carer
  • Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers
  • Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents
  • Ability to meet all compliance requirements including a National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, and adherence to the Aged Care Code of Conduct
