Job summary

Visy is seeking an HSE Manager - QLD to lead health, safety and environmental performance across our South Brisbane and Yatala operations. You will work closely with site leadership to drive strategic HSE initiatives, build capability and embed a proactive safety culture that supports operational excellence.

You will influence leaders, coach teams and ensure compliance with HSE management systems while prioritising continuous improvement across a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading HSE programs within manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, legislation and compliance.
• Demonstrated success influencing leaders and engaging teams to improve safety.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HSE initiatives across multiple sites and units.
• Partner with managers and employees to build a high-performance safety culture.
• Drive the implementation of Visy’s strategic HSE plan aligning with corporate objectives.
• Identify hazards, improve controls and influence safe behaviours.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed HSE requirements into daily operations.
• Balance multi-site needs while establishing common HSE standards.
