Job summary

Circular Plastics Australia seeks a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to provide subject matter expertise and practical support to Site Leadership at Laverton and Altona sites. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, sustainability or related field.
• Certificate IV in WHS or Diploma of WHS advantageous.
• Training/certifications in Australian regulations and standards (e.g., WHS Act, ISO 45001) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Site Leaders across multiple sites to implement and maintain HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and support corrective actions.
• Provide expert HSE advice, coaching, and training to leaders and employees to strengthen safety culture.
• Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring reporting, corrective actions and lessons learned.
• Monitor, analyse and report on HSE performance, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain a regular site presence and travel between Laverton and Altona as required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate health, safety, environmental, and sustainability considerations into operations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian legislation, standards and Group HSE requirements across sites.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies and contractors.
• Support delivery of business outcomes through site audits, training, incident management and reporting.
