Nova is partnering with Defence on one of Australia's most forward‑leaning innovation programmes, and we're looking to connect with experienced professionals who want to help accelerate new capability into service.

About the Role

We're growing a national team to help Defence rapidly turn disruptive technologies into operational capability. If you have experience in systems engineering, mission solutions, test & evaluation, cyber security, or related technical domains, this is an opportunity to apply your expertise to projects with real strategic impact.

You'll be working at the forefront of Defence innovation, where ideas become prototypes, and prototypes become capability.

What You'll Be Involved In

• Systems Engineering, Mission Analysis, Test & Evaluation, Configuration Management, Cyber Security or Logistics Management
• Delivering outcomes using a mission‑based, agile approach to innovation
• Collaborating with Defence, industry and academia to adapt, trial and transition emerging technologies
• Developing clear technical documentation, reports and artefacts within Defence systems and environments
• Participating in short, high‑impact projects that explore and advance emerging capabilities

What We're Looking For

• Experience in the Defence industry or similarly complex technical environments
• Relevant degree for engineering positions recognised by Engineers Australia
• Ability to think on your feet, solve problems and have a can‑do attitude
• Australian Citizen with minimum NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance
• Ability to work both autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams
• A mindset focused on innovation, problem solving and purpose‑driven outcomes
