Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD is recruiting multiple experienced Multi-Skilled Operators with shovel/excavator and truck skillsets. You’ll work safely in a team to meet production goals and be prepared for shift work on a 7 on, 7 off roster.

Dawson Mine

Our Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mine and is showing no signs of slowing down! Dawson is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett. Subsidised residential or camp accommodation options available.

Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

Job Description

We are currently seeking multiple experienced Multi-Skilled Operators with the Shovel or Excavator and Truck skillset to join our mining production teams at our Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a record of working safely and a commitment to safe working practices. You will be accountable for your actions and output and also display a willingness to learn new skills and to work to the best of your ability. Along with a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives and the ability to work shift work.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives. You will need to possess relevant experience in large open-cut mining operations. Dawson Mine is seeking candidates with experience in the below:

• Excavator or Shovel skillset and Truck (mandatory)
• Provide a signed skills list with your application resume to be considered.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• Experience with safety management systems and safe work practices.
