Job summary

Linfox in Melbourne is seeking an experienced MC truck driver with B-double experience to join our team at the Truganina distribution centre. You will safely transport alcoholic beverages between distribution centres across metropolitan Melbourne.

This casual role runs Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with potential to become permanent. Loading is done by forklift; your focus is driving, safety, and adherence to NHVR rules.

Qualifications

• MC licence required.
• Record of safe work practices.
• Familiar with Melbourne metro area.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate B-double combinations across metropolitan Melbourne.
• Deliver DC-to-DC safely and on time.
• Operate Volvo fleet vehicles.
• Follow coupling/uncoupling procedures.
• Comply with safety standards and NHVR requirements.
• Complete required paperwork and site processes.
• Manage fork-on/fork-off freight safely.

What does the job look like?

We are looking for an experienced MC truck driver with B-double experience to join our team. Based at our Truganina distribution centre, you will safely transport alcoholic beverages between distribution centres across metropolitan Melbourne.

This is a casual role working Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right driver. Routes average around 30 minutes, with some trips taking up to approximately one hour. Loading and unloading is completed by forklift, so the role is focused on driving and safe transport operations

Key areas:

• Operating B-double combinations across metropolitan Melbourne
• Completing DC-to-DC deliveries safely and on time
• Operating Volvo fleet vehicles
• Following Linfox coupling and uncoupling procedures
• Complying with Linfox safety standards and NHVR requirements
• Maintaining a strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation
• Ensuring Vision Zero is a daily focus
• Completing required paperwork and following site processes
• Working safely with fork-on/fork-off freight
