Job summary

Laurent Bakery Group is seeking reliable MR Truck Drivers for delivery runs across metropolitan Melbourne from our Braeside facility. Start times are 2am–11:30am with a seven‑day roster. This is an independent contractor role, with a company truck provided and invoicing against ABN.

You will deliver fresh bakery products to cafés and customers, enjoy early starts, and work with our logistics team to ensure timely deliveries. A current MR licence and clean driving history are required.

Hours: Approximately 2am–11:30am, with rostered work across a seven-day operation

Deliver fresh Laurent Bakery products to our cafés and customers across metropolitan Melbourne. We’re seeking reliable, experienced MR Truck Drivers for delivery runs starting from our Braeside facility.

You’ll drive a company-owned truck—there is no requirement to supply your own vehicle. This is an independent contractor opportunity, with payment made against invoices. An ABN and the required insurance cover are essential.

About the Role

You’ll deliver fresh bakery products, primarily to central and eastern Melbourne locations, ensuring orders arrive safely, accurately and within agreed delivery windows.

Start and finish times may vary depending on operational requirements. Availability for rostered weekend and public holiday work is required.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload bakery products into and out of refrigerated trucks.

Check products and quantities against delivery documentation before departure.

Complete multi-drop deliveries according to daily schedules and delivery windows.

Handle products carefully to maintain quality throughout transport and unloading.

Provide courteous, professional service to café teams and customers.

Complete vehicle pre-start checks and promptly report faults or damage.

Maintain the cleanliness and care of the company vehicle.

Drive safely and comply with road rules and relevant transport requirements.

What You Bring

A current MR truck licence; an HR licence is advantageous.

A clean driving record and a full driving history report from VicRoads.

An ABN, with the ability to invoice for services.

Current public liability and personal accident, disability or income protection insurance that meets the contract requirements.

Experience in truck driving, delivery driving or multi-drop distribution is highly regarded.

Familiarity with metropolitan Melbourne, particularly central and eastern suburbs.

The ability to safely perform the role’s loading, unloading and manual handling tasks.

Clear communication skills and a reliable, customer-focused approach.

Availability for early morning starts and rostered work across a seven-day operation.

Willingness to complete Truck Driver Defensive Course training.

Ability to complete a pre-engagement medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.

Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
