Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Motorcycle Delivery Driver to start early each day in Griffith, NSW. You will deliver mail and parcels by motorcycle or on foot with a backpack or trolley, in all weather, and work with experienced Rider Mentors.

The role requires a full or probationary motorcycle licence, resilience under high volume, and flexibility for overtime. Australia Post provides vehicles and a supportive team focused on safety and community connection.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full or probationary motorcycle licence.
• Delivery/courier experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Resilient, able to adapt to high volume and pressure.
• Flexible with working additional hours.
• Must pass riding assessment.
• Able to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly; meet safe working load limit of 100kgs.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail and small parcels early each day.
• Cover and deliver to multiple rounds within a territory.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks.
• Load deliveries onto your vehicle.
• Deliver outdoors in all weather to homes and businesses.
• Paired with Rider Mentors for development.

• Monday to Friday 5am - 1:30pm with regular overtime opportunities (Overtime penalties + Meal Allowance)
• Must be able to support covering Griffith, Leeton, and Narrandera Delivery operations
• $44.11 per hour plus 12% Superannuation
• We supply and maintain the vehicles!
• Must have STRONG delivery experience
• All PPE provided plus your own Mentor to train you

As a Senior Postie, you’ll hit the ground running and be operating and delivering on multiple vehicles including our 3-Wheeled Electric Delivery Vehicles, Motorcycle or delivering on foot utilising a backpack or wheeled trolley.

You’ll be

• Starting your day early in the morning sorting both mail and small parcels.
• Responsible to cover and deliver to multiple rounds within a territory and no two days are alike!
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
• Loading your vehicle with your deliveries for the day.
• Delivering outdoors inall types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses.
• Paired up with our experienced Rider Mentors, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.

About you

• You hold afull or probationary motorcycle licence.
• Experience and/or knowledge working within the courier/delivery industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• You’re resilient and able to adapt to high volume and pressure.
• You’re flexible with working additional hours if required.
• You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical riding assessment.
• You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.
• You’ll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 100kgs or less.
