Role Overview

• Position: Biological Research Evaluator – Contract, Remote
• Commitment: 10–20 hours weekly, potential to scale to 40 hours
• Duration: Initial commitment of 1–2 months, with opportunities for extension
• Mission: Test AI models' ability to understand and mitigate failures in biological research protocols.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the capabilities of AI models in the field of biology.
• Test models' understanding of potential failures in biological research protocols.
• Identify ways to mitigate issues in biological research methodologies.
• Collaborate with AI labs to develop a state-of-the-art benchmark for model evaluation.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and contribute to AI model performance improvement.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Current Ph.D. student or higher degree (e.g., Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of wet lab experience.
• Extensive familiarity with research methods/protocols.
• Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving skills.
• Excel in both written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI model evaluation in biological contexts.
• Familiarity with AI-generated content in scientific research.
