Job summary

NEPEAN Power, a leader in Australian engineering and industrial solutions, seeks an Electrician (General) based in NSW. You will install, wire, fit out and test prefabricated switchrooms, modular skids and transportable units, ensuring safe, efficient delivery aligned with project schedules.

We offer full-time permanent employment with above‑award pay. A NSW electrical licence and modular/construction experience are highly valued; relevant tickets (Forklift, EWP, Confined Space) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Relevant electrical trade qualification and NSW electrical licence (or equivalent).
• Preferably 4 years’ experience in installation and fit out, preferably within modular or construction industries.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate electrical systems in modular switchrooms, skids, and prefabricated enclosures.
• Interpret modular electrical schematics, drawings, and scopes of work.
• Carry out testing, fault finding, and pre-commissioning of modular electrical systems prior to delivery.
• Work with carpentry and fabrication teams to sequence tasks for efficient modular build.
• Ensure electrical works comply with AS3000, AS4871, and other applicable standards.
• Assist with installation and connection works on customer sites when required.
• Maintain and calibrate electrical tools, test equipment, and machinery.
• Provide high quality workmanship that meets deadlines, budgets, and project specifications.
• Complete service sheets, progress reports, and documentation to required standards.
• Liaise with the Leading Hand or Foreman on priorities and deliverables.
• Support logistics and site teams with unit handover, inspection, and client acceptance.
