Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd in Horsham is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair customer vehicles at their home or workplace. This permanent, full-time role offers a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri 8:30am–5pm) with one Saturday per month.

Overtime paid at 1.5x and an optional extra Saturday can boost earnings. Benefits include a productivity-based bonus, up to 33 days holiday, pension matching, life cover, EV salary sacrifice after 12 months, and free household breakdown

Qualifications

Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair; Level 3 preferred.
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
Full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer locations such as driveways or car parks.
Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix problems.
Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
Handle payments via card transactions.
Keep up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
Maintain accurate service records and parts usage.
