Job summary

carsales is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Inspector to cover East/Southeast Melbourne as part of Redbook Inspect within the carsales family. You will perform mobile and fixed-site inspections, providing pre-purchase, finance, dealer and rideshare inspections while sharing mechanical expertise with customers.

Role involves documenting inspection outcomes in our digital app, liaising with customers, and contributing to a high-performing, flexible workplace with generous leave options.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a qualified mechanic post apprenticeship accreditation.
• Willingness to undertake Accredited Vehicle Examiners course if not already accredited.
• Current, unrestricted VIC drivers’ license.
• Customer-focused with a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of vehicle inspections for retail customers, dealers and business clients.
• Contact customers to book inspections and liaise with owners, sellers and buyers.
• Document inspection outcomes on our digital app.
