Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with Wirtgen, seeks a motivated 1st Year Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic in Melbourne. This hands-on role builds a long-term career in heavy equipment through structured training, safety-first work, and real-world repairs.

The program offers on-the-job learning, block-release TAFE, and mentoring with opportunities to gain licences. Police check and basic computer skills are part of the entry requirements.

Qualifications

• Interest in mobile plant or heavy vehicle mechanics.
• TAFE completed via block release is part of the pathway.
• Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen required.

Responsabilités

• Fault finding and mechanical repairs on mobile plant equipment.
• Servicing and maintenance of mobile plant machinery.
• Electrical (12V & 24V) and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Machine preparation and component rebuilds.
