Job summary

Fortescue Metals Group is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Planner to join Christmas Creek operations, supporting maintenance planning, plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across mining activities.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, analyse performance data, and work with stakeholders to drive cost efficiencies and safety outcomes in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining/mobile maintenance or operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.
• Experience investigating reliability issues and implementing practical solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
• Experience using safety management and business improvement systems.
• Sound budgeting understanding and cost centre knowledge.
• Knowledge of ABD, DCRM and Anaplan is advantageous.
• Ability to work with technical teams and stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support mobile maintenance planning to achieve operational objectives.
• Analyze plant performance and reliability data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with leaders and cost centres to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate software, hardware and equipment issues affecting performance and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assess requirements and contribute to practical solutions improving reliability and efficiency.
• Utilise SAP and business systems to support planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Monitor progress of initiatives with governance and reporting.
• Support budget management and cost centre performance through planning and coordination.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and optimize maintenance activities.
• Manage competing priorities with focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
