Job summary

Wattletree Health Group is seeking Casual Experienced Home Care Registered Nurses to service the Mornington Peninsula, traveling to clients’ homes across Melbourne’s metropolitan area. You’ll perform assessments, wound care, catheter care, continence management, immunisations, and palliative care while documenting plans of care.

Applicants must have at least 10 years of nursing experience, current AHPRA registration, WWCC (Vic), and a valid driver’s license with an insured car.

Qualifications

• No less than 10 years current clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current AHPRA registration, WWCC (Vic), National Criminal History Check/Police Check with no disclosable outcomes.
• Accredited BLS, First Aid, Anaphylaxis (nurse immunisers), Manual Handling, Covid training, NDIS worker orientation and screening check.
• Current vaccinations as mandated for this sector.
• Comprehensively insured car and current unrestricted valid driver’s licence.
• Software and App literacy.

Responsibilities

• Chronic wound care, including complex and non-healing wounds.
• Male and female catheter care (IDC and SPC).
• Continence assessments and management planning.
• Chronic disease monitoring and clinical oversight in the home environment.
• Palliative and end-of-life care supporting clients and families.
• Clinical assessments and reviews.
• Client and carer education.
• Immunisations.
