Job summary

Harmony Australasia seeks an experienced mobile fleet maintenance leader to drive safety, reliability and cost-effective upkeep of the project services and ancillary fleet. You will mentor local national staff, coordinate with operations leaders and lead maintenance strategy development in a mining environment.

You will ensure compliance with work management processes, monitor costs and fleet performance, and maintain accurate data in Pronto, supporting target delivery and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Champion safe, compliant and environmentally responsible maintenance practices across Harmony and contractor teams.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance leaders to maximise fleet availability, reliability and production outcomes.
  • Analyse equipment performance, identify reliability opportunities and drive actions that improve cost and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Lead, coach and mentor maintenance personnel, including the local national workforce, to strengthen capability, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor maintenance costs, labour utilisation and fleet performance to support timely operational decisions and delivery against targets.
  • Contribute to maintenance strategies, standards, policies and departmental objectives aligned with company plans.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance data in Pronto, including SMUs, fuel consumption, labour time and related equipment information.
  • Ensure work management processes, statutory requirements and PY 182 "MFM Work Management Process" are understood and consistently followed.

Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Manager, you will lead maintenance and repair activities for the Project Services & Ancillary Fleet, ensuring safety, environmental and community relations standards are consistently achieved by Harmony and contractor teams. This is a key leadership role focused on fleet reliability, maintenance strategy, mentoring and coaching of the local national workforce, productivity, cost control and statutory compliance.

16/12 Expatriate FIFO roster from major capital cities in Australia.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Heavy equipment trade qualification and certificate, with 10+ years' experience (essential).
  • Mechanical Engineering degree desirable.
  • Current First Aid qualification
