Job summary

Save The Children Volunteer Positions in Tara, QLD is seeking a casual, community-based early childhood assistant to support the Mobile Play2Learn program. You will help deliver quality early childhood education and promote parent-child interaction across multiple sites in the Tara region, reporting to the Team Leader.

Ideal applicants have a Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent), with experience with children aged 0–5 and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children 0-5 and families in a group setting.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering early learning programs.
• Work within a team to ensure programs are age- and developmentally appropriate.
• Create a welcoming and safe environment to encourage active participation.
• Grow an understanding of early learning amongst families and share knowledge with the community.
