Job summary

Precision Sourcing Australia is partnering with Capgemini to identify an experienced SAP MM Lead Consultant for its enterprise SAP practice. This senior role focuses on core SAP S/4HANA Materials Management, covering procurement, inventory management and MRP in large-scale supply chain environments.

You will engage directly with clients, design and configure SAP, and lead the functional workstream through delivery, while staying hands-on for detailed design when required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years SAP project experience.
• At least four end-to-end SAP implementation cycles.
• Deep functional experience across SAP MM.
• Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA knowledge.
• Independent stakeholder relationship management with senior clients.

You will gain exposure to large-scale enterprise transformations, complex supply chain environments and senior client stakeholders. You will be trusted to shape the solution, lead delivery and remain hands-on across detailed design and configuration.

About the role

We are working with Capgemini to identify an experienced SAP MM Lead Consultant for its enterprise SAP practice.

This is a senior functional role focused on core SAP S/4HANA Materials Management, particularly:

• Procurement and purchase order processes
• Inventory Management
• Material Requirements Planning
• Broader materials and supply chain processes

You will engage directly with clients to understand business requirements, design the solution, configure SAP and lead the functional workstream through delivery. You will act as a trusted adviser while remaining comfortable working at a detailed, hands-on level when required.

Experience across adjacent areas such as Warehouse Management, Sales and Distribution, Ariba or upstream procurement would be valuable, but the priority is deep SAP MM capability.

Duties

• Lead the SAP MM functional work-stream across the project lifecycle
• Facilitate workshops and translate business requirements into practical SAP solutions
• Design and configure S/4HANA MM processes
• Lead Procurement and purchase order process design
• Own Inventory Management and MRP requirements
• Ensure solution quality, timely issue resolution and alignment with project milestones
• Produce functional specifications, solution documentation and process designs
• Support integration across finance, sales, warehouse and logistics processes
• Contribute to integrations with third-party logistics providers, including 3PL and 4PL environments
• Provide functional direction to client stakeholders and project teams
• Act as a trusted adviser on emerging SAP capabilities and leading-practice processes

Skills and experience

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

• 12+ years of SAP project experience
• At least four full end-to-end SAP implementation cycles
• Deep functional experience across SAP MM
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Detailed knowledge of Procurement and purchase order processes
• Strong understanding of Inventory Management and MRP
• Experience leading functional workstreams or operating in a solution leadership capacity
• Ability to independently build and manage senior business stakeholder relationships
• Strong knowledge of project methodologies and delivery phases
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, with an existing security clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to work from Sydney or Melbourne (other candidates may be considered)
