Job summary

NTT Data is seeking an experienced M/LOps Engineer to join a major data and analytics program in Perth CBD, ASAP start. The role focuses on productionising, automating and optimising analytic solutions in a Databricks environment.

You'll work with data scientists and engineers to build scalable ML pipelines, automate model lifecycles, and ensure workloads are reliable, secure and production-ready across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with design patterns, testing, Git and CI/CD practices.
• Databricks ecosystem experience including MLflow, Unity Catalog and workload orchestration.
• Hands-on Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
• Advanced R development with Sparklyr or SparkR.
• Experience building production ML or analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake and large-scale data environments.
• Experience with time-series forecasting or statistical modelling.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimise production-grade ML and data pipelines using Databricks and Spark.
• Design MLOps frameworks for deployment, versioning, monitoring, and automated retraining.
• Develop scalable solutions with software engineering best practices including CI/CD.
• Optimise R-based forecasting work with Sparklyr/SparkR.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers and stakeholders to integrate models.
• Monitor platform performance, pipeline reliability and data integrity in production.
• Manage Databricks workloads, MLflow, and model lifecycles.
• Support data governance, lineage and operational best practices for ML solutions.
