Job summary

Our client, a Federal Government agency, seeks an APS6 Machine Learning DevOps Engineer to design, deploy and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure for AI workloads. You will drive IaC with Terraform, CI/CD automation and containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS, across PoC to production.

Role emphasises secure deployment practices, IAM and monitoring, with NV1 clearance requirement. Collaborative team environment across Data Scientists and Software Engineers in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying and securing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Hands-on container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes and EKS.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, MLOps or generative AI/RAG is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for AI workloads.
• Develop IaC using Terraform.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Deploy containerized apps with Docker, Kubernetes and EKS.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability for platform reliability.
