Job summary

10x Labs is hiring a senior ML engineer in Newcastle, Australia. You will own the full ML lifecycle from data pipelines and models to deployment, monitoring and retraining in production.

You’ll work close to operational systems and design scalable, interpretable model-driven scoring within agentic workflows. The role emphasizes time-series forecasting, feature engineering, and robust ML pipelines, with strong Python/SQL skills and prior experience deploying models in regulated or high-stakes

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL across the full ML lifecycle.
• Production ML experience with deployed models and monitoring.
• Deep knowledge of gradient boosting, random forests and time-series methods.
• Extensive time-series forecasting and data handling experience.
• Pipelines are tested, versioned and reproducible.

Responsibilities

• Build and run feature and data pipelines for training and inference on high-volume, time-series data
• Develop and tune models: forecasting, optimisation scoring, anomaly detection
• Deploy models into production with monitoring and drift detection
• Collaborate with AI engineers to embed model-driven scoring in workflows
• Explain model decisions to clients and stakeholders
