Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a Training Supervisor to lead the delivery of training and assessment across the Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Superintendent Training, you will guide a team to ensure operators and contractors have the skills and safety knowledge to perform their roles confidently, with a focus on continuous improvement.

You will champion the HIO Training and Competency Framework, drive workforce capability, and work with operational leaders on capability needs in a dynamic mining

Qualifications

• Experience leading training and competency functions in mining or similar environments.
• Understanding of competency-based training and compliance requirements.
• Experience partnering with operations to identify capability needs and deliver training solutions.
• Proficiency with LMS, governance and data reporting.
• TAE certification and a current manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of trainer assessors to deliver safe, effective and high-quality training outcomes.
• Coordinate training and assessment activities to meet priorities and capability needs.
• Drive workforce competency through onboarding, verification and role-specific development.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify capability needs and develop training solutions.
• Ensure compliance with the Training and Competency Framework, legislation and internal standards.
• Monitor training performance, compliance and data to identify gaps and drive improvement.
• Provide governance and QA across training systems, records and processes for a safe, audit-ready workforce.
